Hi Robyn. This is a fun quiz and I haven't a clue which one of the "lies" is untrue, but I'll give it a shot. I don't think you did anything bad to pets. If you admitted that on FS with so many pet lovers on the site you would be in BIG trouble. Marilyn

hahahaha! Well, you're right. I've only accidentally killed a couple, not 3 or 4. hahaha! Thanks for playing. Hope you'll fill out your own quiz!
reply by BeasPeas on 07-Jan-2019
I did fill it out and had a dickens of a time with posting it.

You've always been imaginative and creative in your thinking up interesting and entertaining prompts to "expose"people, and in the process you've "unravelled" them. If I were to guess which pursuit you weren't guilty of was perhaps installing telephones, the rest sound a little like you! Well done Robyn, blessings, Roy

hahaha! Thanks, Roy, but I really did install phones for two years. Went to pole-climbing school and everything! ha! Thanks, buddy!

Hi Robyn, I loved all your answers and I also love that you've brought up the quiz again It's really funny. You ask us to lie and I have a hard time to catch yours. I think it is about the pets, but then again it's easy to do without meaning it with hamsters and other rodents. But then there's the twenty-four jobs and the telephone poles. Awe. I just don't know. And you having a big mouth when younger? Surely not!LOL Thanks a lot for sharing. I'm enjoying this. Ulla:)))
I have a special angle on The Titanic. My father, My real one, who you'll read about in my book, captained the Norwegian ship that located the wreckage.

I am glad you are doing this again, not the same one, but similar. I think the untruth was where you said you worked 24 jobs? The Titanic was interesting to watch as a movie and I am shocked you were never in a talent contest. You are a very talented lady that I love and respect a lot. I will try to do this when we get home from watching Greyson. later today! love and blessings, Teri

YAY! Thank you, Teri. I'm so glad that people still enjoy these quizzes. I love doing them - I think they are a super way of getting to know each other and I try not to do them so often that people get tired of them. *smile* I do adore the Titanic - but I'm talking about the SHIP, not just the movie. I've been collecting stuff about it since I was fifteen and I've got hundreds of books and posters and dishes and coal and videos and.... on and on and on. If you ever want to surprise me... *smile* (JK)

Thank you for the compliment, but as I've said before on here, God has blessed me with a lot of various talents, but He was wise enough to only give me a little bit of talent in a lot of different areas. I think He knew it might go to my head or something. I don't have enough talent in ANY area to really use it to get famous. *smile* Sure wish I did. hahaha

And, nope, I really have worked 24 jobs in my life. One of them was working for the telephone company for 2 years installing phones. I had to go to North Carolina first to go pole-climbing school -- for real! Then I came back and fixed peoples' phones - climbed poles and crawled under people's houses. Worked outside for TWO YEARS - right before Reg and I got married, then quit and became a housewife again. HUZZAH! The lie was about the pets...but only a little bit. I haven't killed three or four... just one or two and ALMOST killed others. We used to call a previous car of mine the 'death mobile' cause it seemed like animals would just RUN OUT IN FRONT OF IT!!!! It was HORRIBLE.

Hope this all makes sense. hahaha

Thanks so much for playing -- I can't wait to read your answers. Lots of love --

OK Robyn, my Muse was running low. This will get me one more post for tomorrow. So, I'm game.

1. Interesting, although I don't think I'd want to witness all that tragedy.

2. Who'd a thunk!

3. the telephone company, Pole climber

5. Should have tried a beauty contest, you stunning red-head.

4. Opps, missed this one. That's cheating! Just kidding.

Hey! Flattery will get you everywhere, you sweetie pie! hahaha (Though I imagine this may mean you need to get your glasses checked. hahaha) Nope, I worked for the phone company for two years. It was terrifying at first, but it definitely made me a stronger person. DEFINITELY. Thanks for playing!

Ah, another one of your famous quizzes I see, huh, Robyn?
My answer to question #1 would be the Hindenburg disaster. Oh, the humanity!

As for your second question, back in the mid-seventies there was a rumor going around that the Wendy's Hamburger chain was using red worms as a filler in their ground beef. So, me and the boys got together and stole a sign from a local farmer's front lawn that read LIVE BAIT SOLD HERE. It had a gigantic red arrow painted on the sign pointing the way. It was made like one of those realtor for sale signs you see in front of homes being sold.
I stuck it in front of the busiest Wendy's restaurant on North Dixie Drive and we took off.
We drove back by the restaurant about a half an hour later and there were police cruisers, State Highway Patrol cars, as well as local yokels surrounding the place. Two news crews were also there.
I had a very identifiable car, a 1972 Grand Torino Sport, just like the one Clint Eastwood has in the film of the same name, Grand Torino.
The manager spotted my car, alerted the cops and we were caught, arrested and charged with trespassing, vandalism, theft of private property, and conspiracy to incite a riot.
Needless to say my parents weren't very happy with me.
We all had to do 125 hours of community service.
I never got in trouble with the law again.

#3... 1) When I first began writing, over 35-years ago, I wrote Gothic Romance and Science Fiction stories. Two are published.
2) I've been married twice and have eight children, seven sons and just one daughter.
3) A dog is my very best friend in the whole, wide wonderful world.

#4... In 1977 I lead the Vandalia High School varsity football team in total yards from scrimmage with 2,655, and 1,480 of those were rushing yards.
It's a record that still stands today.

#5... I've never entered a talent contest. I used to judge one however, at the Winchester, Ohio, Caramel Festival.

Hey, friend. Why are you posting your quiz here instead of where everyone can read and enjoy it? *smile* I mean, I'm glad I get to! But I think others would like to see it, too. As far as the lie, I absolutely know that #3 is true, so it's between the first two. And I could believe both! But I'm gonna throw the flag on #2.
reply by Dean Kuch on 07-Jan-2019
Number 2 is completely true, Robyn, I'm ashamed to admit.
My lie was about the number of kids I have.
I said eight, but I really only have five. Four boys and one daughter.
I have been married twice, however.
I just answered your quiz in my review for a couple of reasons.
    One, I didn't feel anyone would care enough to read my answers, and;
two, I had no money to promote my post.

I think you?re totally wrong. But others have posted at 2 cents also. I?d go ahead if I were you. I?m sure people would love to read it. Ha!! Go for it!

Very enjoyable to read Robyn, it is great to learn a little more about people. You provided some amazing answer for sure. In response to question three my choice would be 'A'. You did very well in creating this.

Hey, friend!! Hope you?ll decide to play along. And no, the lie is the third option, the one about the pets. I have killed (or maimed) several but not THAT many. Haha

    Thank you!

Are we supposed to start a new book with chapter six? Or are we supposed to copy and paste it here in the comments section? I want to play but not sure exactly what to do. Let me know.

Go to my post and select 'add a chapter'. Then make your chapter number 6, also. Then copy and paste all my questions, eliminate my answers and enter your own. That's it! Can't wait to see yours! Thanks for playing!

What a fun chapter. Very clever to add it to your book. Later I will post my answers. Truths and lie - c. Pets I have played this game and initiated it at several parties and even in workshops I have conducted. So much fun.

This is another good idea, I think you've done this before and I joined in? Well, I'm going to this time as well. :))

Yours, now, I can quite understand you wanting to be a fly on the wall on the Titanic. That's a good one.

Your number 2, I used to do the same, still do! LOL.

Your number 3, I had more than 24 jobs in my working life, it was easy to do back in my days. So I believe that. To have accidentally killed 3 or 4 pets, I'd have to say you'd be pretty clumsy to achieve that, so I think that is the lie.

Your number 4. So you are famous in your town! How lovely.

Your number 5, I'm surprised you haven't been in a talent contest.

Well, I enjoyed getting to know more about you. Now it's my turn. :)) Sandra xx
