Disclaimer here: this is the first of your chapters I have been privileged to read. With no enough time to go back and read the 75 chapters prior, I am definitely giving a "bird's eye" view of this particular part of your story. ;)

That being said, you have a nice flow to your action -- no place in which the reader has trouble follow who/what is happening along the way. I must say, however (and, again, I am just dropping in on the plot here!), that there seems to more than a passing companionship demonstrated here between Zack and Shana. Now, if that is your intention, then you have subtly done an awesome job of foreshadowing (or at least laying the foundation for) something that develops between them in the future. If it is not, please simply chalk such an observation up to an "ignorant" reader presented with an "incompletely developed" past on which to draw.

I truly love your style, however, and how you are able to introduce feelings and even emotions into the situation without an over-abundance of words to that end! Well done! And thank you so very much for sharing!

Hi, Barbara,

I can only imagine how Shana felt when she was exposed to that type of violence. I'm scared to death of knives and the bloody aspect is a big part of the fear.

I'm in total agreement with Shana about guns and knives. It was very difficult for me to carry a gun while I was in the military. Thank God, I was never tested on my ability to shoot a human.

I find the storyline continuing to flow, and I'm hoping for Drew to find a better way to protect Shana and her family.

Looking forward to more,

~patty~

Thank you for the encouragement. I HATE guns myself.
