Its a whimsical little piece with a twist on the musical number from Mary Poppins; you fit it in there nicely, and it has a nice little different take, talking about romance, Putting adversity behind you, in that mountain, and letting the rains wash away the past and giving you a new start, in that hand offered. Nice original images within the classic lyrics rhythm. estory

Mileau....did you mean Milieu?
I can see Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke with a smudge of soot on his nose as I read this.
Well penned ..I like the imagery of infirmity being a mountain
God bless

    YES, and I've had French,
embarrassingly enough. Thank you. Spell check did not show an error-it always does in foreign languages

It is a wonderful poem, one that needs three or four readings to see a direction. I like, "Fields yield incense
and incepts
and that begat you ," It's like looking into a movie scene, in a way, and getting to see a moment in time of some strange creature. Thanks for sharing.

Well done.
This brings back old memories of the Marry Poppins movie.
I wonder if kids now would be interested enough to sit through it.
I like your version of the verse.
Well done.

I love the movie 'Mary Poppins', so I immediately recognized the picture from the song "Step in Time". This poem seems to celebrate the variety of life and the ability to live it with joy and courage.

Keep writing

Joan

Hello, Victortouche, :)

I thought it was 'Chiminy' let me look:
Chim chiminey
Chim chiminey
Chim chim cher-ee!
A sweep is as lucky
As lucky can be (http://www.fpx.de/fp/Disney/Lyrics/MaryPoppins.html It has the full song. I love that song, so your poem will be great.

A very clever interpretation of chim chimeny. I very much enjoyed reading it, well I should say singing it. I loved Mary Poppins although Dick Van Dykes English accent was terrible.
Great illustration. Nice one. Jen.
