The form seems to be right on target. I think you have some excellent imagery woven throughout the poem. Good alliteration makes it musical and a smooth movement. The last line in the first stanza is a very nice simile. Well done. Cowboy

A perfectly formed and well presented rondeau. It truly is a beautiful form and especially when two musical end rhymes have been selected to deliver the image in its entirely.
Superb poem, Yvonne and excellent addition to the Potlatch club.

Super rondeau, Yvonne! I like how you were able to use the two repeated rhymes and came up with some unique ones like thieves-reprieves-heaves-cleaves-sheaves. And the repeated line gives that feeling of the rain's repeated sounds. Great use of alliteration and onomatopoeia while telling us the story of the storm's journey.

This is a beautiful example of a rondeau - inspires me to give it a try. The words paint a clear and beautiful scene of a wet but still lovely day. Those silvery sleeves do mesmerize. Well done.

A very well-written enjoyable Rondeau poem about the summer rain and how it affects everything surrounding is. Water dripping the dust becomes mud and.puddles of water everywhere.

This is an exceptional poem... I would give you six stars if I have any left to give... it is so descriptive, the tone is lovely, and makes you feel relaxed and comfortable.. the same feeling that one has sitting by a fireplace, watching and listening to the rain fall again the panes.. and tapping gently thin barrier as if asking to be a part of the inside romantic ambience, which is peaceful, relaxed and warm... I also love the rain.. it refreshes, cleanses, restores, and gives the earth a refreshing drink... your poem is fluid, lyrical, it has good rhythm and descriptive and vivid imagery... I love this poem, thank you for sharing!
