As I read through this, I was thinking about how wonderful a job you did using just dialogue. I didn't realize that it was in a contest requiring only dialogue. You, my friend, did a great job not only with the dialogue but with humor in it as well. Best of luck to you in the contest.

Lol. Aw. How sweet! I think. I'm not sure about the smashed in chocolate pieces, though. I like how you build up the characters in the dialog and how well the wife knows her husband!

No fair! I was swooning over the romance of it, and then reread the top line about fiction. Well, it's still a romantic example some men could learn a thing or two from. :-)

I think at this point I am just going to play the age card. Maybe it will gain me a little understand when I do the weird things old people do. It would never be safe for me to have chocolate covered cards though, because I am addicted to chocolate and the cards would be a mess in no time around me.

A fun story to read about aging. Something we all are doing. Love the romance feel at the end because of how he made this box of chocolates special. Great job in adding that in.
