Hi Meia,
Wow. I am complimented that you read it twice. I was worried that being so long no one would stick with it to the end so I find that statement very complimentary. Thank you. Thank you will bookcase it--who could ask for more. THANK YOU!

A very well-written legendary poem. A maiden willing to sacrifice herself to let her people flourish, saved by a brave man pretending to be the god, but the jealous mountain god took what belongs to him.

Thanks for your notes about this poem. Great job of telling the story with good word flow, and rhyming. Very interesting story about this maiden and what she thought was the god of the mountain.

Very well written, though I am not partial to romantic works, this one is a very creative piece; though I have never heard of an Indian brave with green eyes! But that is OK, after all, my poem that I will post on Sunday, has a 10 years old trekking through Finland and Norway! Not likely, either. lol.
But there is only a few places where the rhythm wavers, but that is also acceptable with a poem of length. In fact, if my poem does not win the "Write a Poem of Length" contest, which I created, I hope yours does. I don't mind losing to a quality work. Thanks for posting.

Wow, what a nice thing to say from the creator of the contest. I wish you all the best as well. I intentionally went with a more conversational (sort of tell it by the campfire story) than strict meter in my approach. We will see if it works or not. I am flattered that you found this to be quality work. Thank you so much.

This certainly fits the contest criteria. It is a long poem. You keep the rhymes going nicely and and the meter works. This poem should od well in the contest.

Wow! What a terrific legend in a poetic format that takes this great story and magnifies it. Utahna and Red Hawk and the story of Mt. Timpanogos is a superb verse.
