Nice tribute. The spirit of your pen is a deeply religious man. I'm not a good critique of poetry without rhymes, but I can see the purpose and meaning of the poem. I see a child's rise to stardom in your poem.

thanks. I don't know what that means...religious...I mean I know the Webster definition, but not what it means to you. I have known God since I was a child. but I don't understand Him still...my complete trust has been compromised. Yet I also know I really have no choice...He is. appreciate the review. love Michael

This is a Princely tribute. You do a great job of bringing in aspects of the artist's life. So many times there are obstacles, family disapproval, etc. Prince rose above with his talent. It's a world in which all things are possible if a person has the talent. You also refer to the need he fulfilled--the public's desire for the music. Love your line, "Play princely forever." I haven't been a fan, but I appreciate what he brought to those who loved his music. judi
