I quit smoking a year ago and haven't regretted it since. Your poem is right on the money. It makes an important social commentary.
Thank you for sharing!
Good luck!
Blessings!

Kudos to you for quitting smoking after thirty years! For many who are addicted to smoking, it is an impossible task. I, too, quit smoking after twenty years and I did not have to struggle, fail and struggle. It was just a decision made with firmness and backed by a strong will power. Your short poem is sweet and hence I found it enjoyable.

Some people do find it difficult hto quit smoking because of the habitual routine. If the routine can be changed it will be a little bit easier to quit.

This is very good. Every line makes sense. A short poem that tells a good story is not easy. You have managed to do it so well. Good Luck in the contest. Warm regards Dorothy

Quitting smoking can be very hard for most people.
Like all bad habits.
This poem gives good advice...just stop smoking.
Should be a good contest entry.

True, I read somewhere quitting each cigarette equals to saving 17 seconds of life. But I have seen many people starting again after quitting for one or two months. We need to have lots of determination. No smoking patches will have limited impact. Good message delivered through this little poem. All the best
