Your short poem uses few words to express the agony and fear for those victims of the beheadings. Artwork complements your poem as well. Very well written.

The picture scared me a little as I am scared of spiders, but I liked the poem and the orange background. The spider on the orange picture did fit the poem rather well. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for your kind review. Yes, the spider on the orange moon is scary to fit the mood of my poem.

The name Isis put a damper on my mood, yet not so your write. I thought this cleverly write, yet I would stick to tangerines in your author's note...the beheading brought a sadness when I originally had a smile.Best wishes,
RGstar

Really creepy subject matter, but I guess somebody has to tell it. Really nice art work of the tangerine and spider. Great job.

I cannot say I enjoyed your poem for obvious reasons but that takes nothing away from it's quality, which was excellent. In three short lines you tell a story that should never have happened but must never be forgotten. Well done.

The folly of man tries to kill the spirit which only God can do. No person sees the spirit enter and no person sees it live, but it is there. Only a change of chemistry.

Hi Sis Cat, Your Haiku explains to the reader that orange is now the new terror colour, It is now common knowledge that if you are wearing orange in the ISIS state you will die! These poems are needed to keep these animals at the forefront of peoples minds, and I applaud you sir.

Thank you, Eric, for your review. Orange is the new color of terror. One of the things our poems achieve is that they keep these atrocities at the forefront of people's minds. Thank you for your review. I love your "Je Suis Charlie" poem.

This is a powerful, and terrifying poem all at once. These beheadings have now changed to being put in a cage and burnt alive. Those responsible are not human. Excellently put, in those very few lines. Sandra xsx

This is a most powerful and timely poem. The symbolism of the orange robe compared to the tangerine made the senselessness of their acts seem more real. Thanks for writing it and posting.

Thank you, gypsycaravan. I turned one reviewer off of eating tangerines for life because I compared the fruit to the color of the robes and jumpsuits the executed wear. I am humbled that you appreciate my posting of this poem.

A chilling piece of writing, Sis Cat which was well written. I loved the imagery used here, especially in the two last lines. An excellent piece...Jacob
