Soni gives me the impression she's pretty independent and very capable for a woman - I like her character.

conversation flows naturally too.

This chapter kind of pulls things together. I liked Butkus leading Midnight. Rancher I worked for during roundup had a huge Airdale that would lead our horses into the corral after a days work to be unsaddled, curried, watered and fed.
How did Soni know they were being followed by a mountain lion? they are usually very quiet and stay out of sight.
Good chapter, irish

Good job, Barbara, with the continuation of your story. Details and dialogue continue to be engaging. Looks like maybe a storm is brewing up and Soni and Jay might spend time in the old shack. Could there be some romance? 8-)

You have nothing to apologize for, I love western and romance stories...this is building up to be great in both categories. You are a true artist at leaving the reading wanting more. I can only guess the storm is moving in and they need to get to cover before it hits. Not fun having a mountain lion following you...I know it would make me very nervous.

Hi Barbara,

Hmm, Jim is still a man of mystery, there can't be many 'agencies' that can kill a man and sidestep the local law and simply remove the body and the prisoners. The building storm sounds nasty, but the deviation from track - in my estimation, at normal pace a two hour ride would be about twenty miles - there must be some serious reason for making such a detour.

Good chapter, once more the tension between to main protagonists is surfacing, and the mystery as to what is really going on remains.

Soni knows a mountain lion is following them, but it won't attack until it thinks it has an advantage. So she thinks it's best to find shelter for the night, even if it is a two hour ride.

A good chapter, Barbara. I thought it was climactic with the bad guys being taken away and Jim (I thought) about to reveal his identity, but Dame Barbara has some more for us to deal with.

Good job, Barbara.

Chapter 31 of the book Texas Dream Catcher Soni and Jim head back to the Rockin' A "Chapter Doce; part Dos" Love the work you do and enjoy every chapter you create. Your western is just fine. Love the picture of the lion. Well done again.

Barbara:
If rattlesnake is considered a delicacy, I suppose my
days of eating delicacies are long over. It appears Soni
is still not sure whether or not to totally trust Jim as
she is not too quick to share things with him.
thanks for sharing
I look forward to your next post
