The atonement by biblical description assures us of redemption. I am sorry, but I find the picture too graphic; reading about it in the Scriptures is adequate enough for me to realise His pain and suffering. The works of the living Christ instil faith and knowledge. Powerful message and good use of rhyming. Faye

Strong image indeed, Roy. Nothing so poignant as this moment, even with respect of all religions.
Your faith, as usual, takes us through the day.
Good rhymes, good projection of your thesis.
Best wishes,
RGstar

This is a beautifully written poem. I believe that Christ existed and agree, thorough documentation has been done to prove this is a fact. I enjoyed your poem very much. It flows so smoothly and the imagery you convey is stunning to say the least.

A beautiful statement of Christ's sacrifice. Very strongly worded with the soiled garment and the lashes he bore for humanity's sake. His sacrifice and what it means joins you with Christ. Excellent AABB rhyme, and it flows gracefully. Everything comes together beautifully in this. Definitely worth 6 stars. judi

beautiful poem and it sounds like this was an inspired poem and that is why I believe it flowed seamlessly. Jesus Saves us from the devils grave! God Bless.

'etched with Holy care', but when is care 'Holy'? You also have the adjective in Capitals and the quality, care, in lower case. Surely the care is the active verb, the subject, the etching, the dominative adjective in capitals.
Then you have there rhyming word in
care,
our sin to bear, soiled garment wear,
which demeans the subject.
The poem ends '...God guaranteed'.
The problem is that the previous lines do not have a 'promise' or at least not one I can detect. So a rework is need in this stanza.
In the end, the themes excellent, but I am not sure it is yet well expressed.
This rating does not count towards story rating or author rank.

Some capitals are always valid, fortunately you don't make the rules. Thanks for dropping in, blessings, Roy.

I waited so I could give this amazing piece of poetry the 6 it so deserves. Your words are lovely Roy, God sent His only son, Jesus, so that we might live. What a sacrifice that was. And Jesus walked this earth teaching his Father's word, and then was crucified for his goodness. This was a real pleasure to read, my friend. xsx Sandra
