This is a delightful haiku, I really like it, & do like the haiku for expression of nature as this one, with such an appropriate picture & to also, understand, too, that these polar bears so match their white atmosphere..Best Wishes in this competition.

storm of snow
ravages the skies with blinding fury
polar bears dance
Great visual inside your poem.
The long/short fits the form, and you use harsh words to describe the storm... ravages, blinding.
Well done.

Awesome, the ballot is full this time LOL.

I voted, but I'm apparently the only one. I'm puzzled because there was a six-rev. left on the line next to your poem. Maybe that person forgot to click...Then too, only one other has two votes...
Best wishes in the contest!

Yep. And the number of votes per entrant are close so far:)

LOL, so many without a vote yet! I love to write and wish this is what I did for a living. How happy I would be. God Bless!
-
Thanks again Mike! I'm not sure who all actually votes, in the past have seen the best come in last.
-
I'm not surprised that sometimes the best come in last...:) Who knows exactly how people decide...!
Glad to vote for your haiku!

Author: aren't they fantastic creatures? They are so huge and can be so savage but they play together and the sight of a mother polar bear with her cubs is so filled with love. Great poem and a good contender in the contest. livelylinda

I love the sense of this one. There are times when tempests are unleashed upon us with such blinding fury that all we can do to save ourselves is get up and dance.

I'm glad the polar bears enjoy the challenge of romping and playing in the snow. Every season needs to be appreciated by someone or something. Me, I'll take spring and fall.
Well done with your entry, Buck

I have never read a haiku with 4-10-4 syllable count. It give more scope to the meaning of the poem, and all your chosen words make a very good read. I like it.
Good luck in the contest.
