I have read through this twice and absolutely love it. Now to the poem itself. It flowed very nicely with some rhyming not sure if that was intentional or just happened but I enjoyed it. The images you painted, very much depict the mind of a writer. Not always do they convey it on paper, but it is there, just my thoughts. Your authors notes really brought it to life and the challenge you present has even struck me to try a little harder. Thank you. Well done!

A challenge it is as I read your author notes. This poem says it all and it is in your words it carries me through the forest of light there in your photo. Sometimes I lose my muse and then sometimes it is in overdrive. I love how you did this and I captured the mood in it.
Great job

Blessings friend

I couldn't agree more with your "author notes", you seem like a very aware person. It is refreshing to read something real and feel something that is deep and beautiful. Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem; travelling to the depths. :) I like your phrase to create poetic art; I am a painter as well and my personal mantra that I focus on is "paint the world beautiful" and to tap into my own creative force. To create something (abstract, obviously) that cannot be explained, but seen and felt; something that resonates deep within them to a place they have not quite found yet and draws their attention. I view poetry in the same way, as creating art; using words to capture thought. Trying to lead people to themselves. :) Anywho, thanks for this beautiful poem; I look forward to reading more of your poetry.

Jewell,
Your wonderfully written poem is meaningful and mosaic, yet easily comprehended by poetry freaks like me how analyze it to death. Your words conjure up rich imagery that paints a vivid picture in the readers head. The art work is stunning you used. I'm going to shake up my review by doing an impromptu poem:
Off the Cuff Free Verse With Rhyme: I Scribe Magic by missy98writer 01-27-2012 @ 4pm CST:
This chick is poetry sick
and she scribes like a lunatic,
but I pen out magic upon the page

While vocabulary words
flow in my overworked imagination
I like to personify the concept of
serendipity with my jotting implement

I'm eclectic,
highly electric,
my bodies biometric
and I'm eccentric
When I'm in bard mode
you get dreams spilled out
before your very eyes, but
soon your soul starts grooving
to my lyrical notes as I sing
out with my artsy aria
So come ride my free
style train as we speed
down the locomotive track
of reverie, and the next
stop is Allegory Alley, but
once there let's go play
upon the caboose of cacophony
as Mother Dictionary conducts
the ABC's of symphony...
Review continued: You used the following:
Alliteration Usage: great.
Use of Metaphor: great: "infiltrate my spirit in truth, drink of your fountain, tap into your Divine energy, concert of the spirit's song, nature harmonize along, in dawn's afterglow, wait for inspiration, speak in layers at a time, vacation in, take the world, imagination's fair, reminisce life's lessons, in retrospective delight, hand me the key, travel a journey, embrace your own truth and Convince me to believe your inspirations."
Rhyme: very good
Content: excellent.
Flow: excellent
Mechanics: great.
The lines or stanza that I liked: "Paint the sunset with your eloquent pen, Meet my heart in dawn's afterglow, or rise with me to wait for inspiration in the cozy seat of the crescent moon or beneath a glowing sunrise, where ribbons of red and gold speak in layers at a time." I love your poem. I hope you dig mine which I will post another day since I've posted my two for today. I'd recommend your beautiful piece of poetic art to other readers. I encourage you to keep writing with heart by using a creative pen. I wish you a blessed weekend and a fabulous day.
Melissa.

Write for me in simple words
Prose to stir my soul
Make my mind play along
With imagery elusively bold

Drop for me phrases thinly veiled
Conveying images of passion held
Craft your words to tickle me
With thoughts gently moving

Desire for me to read you
Hear the music that you pen
Create a enticing bed of words
Where I can escape to dream

Pen for me all these things
Honest gifts to treasure
Made from passions deeply held
Written with a delicate touch

Mused me once again.

That's a powerful challenge, friend. But I do enjoy my writing, and yes, sometimes I do things just to get it done, but since joining FanStory, I have learned more about my writing from those who've been writing far longer than myself. I aspire too, to write as well as those I have read from people just like you. Thanks for the challenge. I hope not to let you down.

Wow...there's a magic in the words you share. How inspiring and creative! Your imagery is vivid and dream-like, your lines filled with alliteration and deeply meaningful words. Nothing mundane or cliche.
So beautifully presented and definitely reaches the depths you're trying to capture when reaching out to the poet. What you did do for sure here is "create a masterpiece in visual words"...
Thanks for sharing this with me.
