Sweet, delightful and charming little poem Brooke. Elves and pixies are a joy to write about. The picture is wonderfully colourful and it goes so well with your words, James.

HI Brooke!! I love this! It rhymes perfectly, and is so much fun to read, it would be a great children's poem for a book?? Just excellent!! :) Susan

adewpearl,

The theme was strong. The flow was smooth. Very descriptive and created impressions that are very vivid and understandable.

There was no SPAG. No room for improvement.

I look forward to seeing you again.

Love you,

Oatmeal

Brooke, I missed that beautiful sighting, but you allowed me to envision it vicariously through your wonderful poem. I love these little escapes.

Brooke,

What whimsy and so full of fun...I really enjoyed the light hearted feeling with the pixies adding sparkle to the day. No question why they chose you...they knew they'd found the perfect poet to express their joy and add it to our day...Terrific!

Brooke,
Nice poem.
Who doesn't like fairies.
This was fun and lighthearted.
What an incredible image, so very beautiful.
Nice message too.
My favorite parts: 2nd stanza, and the last 2 lines of the last stanza.
Great job.
Kathryn

I saw these pixies shimmering
with silver sparkles on each wing
till soon they formed a flick'ring ring
that set my heart aquivering

You drew me right into this fantasy. Super imagery... you made me believe they hide in my garden.

That is probably because they DO hide in your garden, Rick! ;-)
    Thanks, my friend. Brooke

This is cute. I do love fairies and such. I can see these little creatures flying around and telling you all the secrets they have.

Aw, this is so sweet, and with lovely imagery of those glittering sparkling fairies waving at you as they say farewell.
I did falter slightly on the line with two "why"s in it. Don't know if you intended that or whether one could be removed, eg they chose me, though I wonder why?
Nonethless, a delightful read, which I am sure young and old alike will enjoy.
Yours. Sally

Thank you, Sally. I just got rid of one of the why's at Peter's suggestion - I think it works well - take a look : -) Brooke

This is such a lovely poem. It has all the magic of Fairyland in it. A lovely flow and rhythm makes it easy to read, and I do like rhyming poetry. I loved it.
