And indeed soap flakes disappear! Good use of imagery. Your writing was good, and I don't suggest any changes in your poem. Keep writing!

Wow! What a well written poem with the best of wishes. I enjoyed this and in a sense, perhaps it prompted me to pay more attention to my writing, eventually landing me here.
To be honest, I lost about seven years of memories of a love, due to the trauma of her death. Then they started popping back in again and at least I could not only experience that love as it occurred, but also reflect on it as an adult.
I don't worry about memory loss as most often it is the way that the brain prioritize what is important. When you jot a lot of stuff down, don't be surprised if you review it again as a stranger and fail to see the significance. Memory of an event is one thing, what is more important is why something stands out in your mind and how did it benefit your emotions or life.
I used to be terrified at growing old, but ultimately resided in the faith that the mind will seek the best way to navigate through life. Don't obsess or worry as that will screw up memories easily.
Lovely poem!

Hello PUPA
You have expressed 'sooo' well how you feel.
I like how you wrote your thoughts a natural way which gives your poem a nice smooth flow.
It must be you have memories that overpower your happy memories
That why I write my thoughts in a diary or for the past few years I have been on Fanstory posted most of my thoughts.

You write here about what so many of us have trouble with- -remembering some of the things of the past. I know I remember things quite vividly that my sisters and brothers have no recollection for and vice-versa. So you are no different- -meeting with your school chums and hearing their memories of days gone by only made you think more about your own past- -and in so doing you will be surprised and pleased at how much you can recall if you give you heart, mind and soul that chance. Writing down things is important as you recall them.
Lovely read and well -written. No flaws that I noticed. Thank you.

I believe that our mind keeps the memories that we need to know. Which is why keeping a journel makes sense. Your poem seemed to be thinking out loud.
