I am completely immersed in your words, enjoying the beauty of tranquility. I am joyful and grateful. I feel like someone has eloquently spoken out for me, expressing my admiration and yearning for serenity and solitude in nature. Thank you for this beautiful piece.
I wish you the best in the contest.
Best Regards.

This looks more like an article or essay than a free verse, free verse is still full of poetic device, the best thing is to read the book of Ecclesiastes or psalms or the book of Job in the Bible, to get an idea of what free verse is, otherwise everything is the same, and we could call it whatever we like. Whatever one says, modern judges can't write poetry either, that's why there's confusion, I'm sorry but there's a flood of prose all of a sudden, blessings Roy

Thanks Roy, I'm a bit rusty, been away for four months struggling with a total knee replacement that went badly, a friend!

I loved this poem about solitude. It really says it all. There nothing better than to be out in nature, breath it in and feeling it's healing properties
Only one little thing. In your last stanza there's a couple of too many 'that'.
I really enjoyed reading this. Ulla :)))

This poem was very calm and contemplative. The descriptive details paint a clear picture. The stanza breaks come at the right time to separate thoughts, but not interrupt the flow. The flow was graceful.

It was nicely done. For some reason, it reminded me of Walt Whitman. I enjoyed the quietness. You write poetry very well. Good luck in the contest and have an interesting weekend. Karen

This part touched my heart, it opened a door to the inner self-reflection: "To sit in a deep flow in inner focus
to breathe
to be at one with that which has ever been
that which is always present
that which will always be....
" Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

I doubt you have a monkey mind, mystery poet, but I understand your drift. I so enjoyed your beautifully crafted poem on solitude.
Sending you my best today as always, and my very best wishes for the upcoming contest, Sally :))

I liked this reflection on the peace and stillness of solitude in the forest which enables you to re-energise. I liked the references to the forest critters and the enjoyment of momentary removal from other people. Good luck for the contest.
