What a wonderful man! What a wonderful story Ulla.
He understood how important the occasion was for you and out of love and respect he reacted accordingly. I suspect if he ever really hated cheese at all he loved his daughter-in-law and son more! Well done! Love the story. Nancy:)

Hi Nancy, thank you so very much. He was a lovely man, and I loved him dearly. He actually hated cheese, but for some reason he loved it with that dish. Thanks again. Ulla xcx

That was so nice of him. And I bet he tried lots of things with cheese in after that. Lol. Well done you. He sounded like a really nice man. He obviously saw you were on the verge of crying and loved you enough to try it. Bless him. I enjoyed this, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Yup. That's what a good father-in-law will do. And I'm glad he enjoyed it and continued to ask for this dish when he visited.

I'm sure that put you on cloud-nine so to speak.

One correction -
I placed the big and very hot but deliciously looking dich(dish) on the mats.

I wasn't fully sure what moussaka was so I looked it up and it sounds delicious. I may give it a whirl one of these days.
Cheers,
John

John, thank you so much. I will PM you my lasagne recipe later today. I have been struggling with a very bad cold, but wanted my chapter out for the book. It had priority. I'm sorry. Ulla:)))

Amazing how a little extra effort topped with love can move a mountain. It his case it was the hate for cheese and how you quickly turned hate into love. This a good one, Ulla.
