Twins?!

I'd almost given up the idea of having any boys

I enjoyed reading your story. We wanted a boy to carry on the name and I was pregnant four times. I gave birth to four girls, but one of the pregnancies ended as twins with a girl and a boy. His wife had two girls and the last was boy. Unfortunately, the boy recently declared he is "Trans". This will likely end the line for our family.

    Hello Beth,
thanks so much for the fine review and comments. Hopefully your grandson will come to his senses soon. Young people seem to be swayed by so many outside influences nowadays, issues that we never even thought possible when we were young. We can certainly pray that God will intervene and His will shall be done. God bless and keep you gal.

    Hello Beth,
I'm sure you're disappointed, as you want what is best for him. Be assured, that the Lord wants the same. We'll stand together in prayer and ask Him to intervene. Who knows what good God can bring about because of this issue? Blessings,

I liked reading this. It is a slice-of-life story about the difficulties of family life, or rather, trying to get a full family life. I see another reviewer already pointed out a few misspellings like dialation vs. dilation. Here is a good phrase that brings this down to earth: I was going to be the father of six kids. The idea was hard to fathom.

    Hello Crystie,
thanks so much for the great review and comments. I grew up in a family of five kids, but never really gave much thought to how many we would have. Lust, or nature, took it's course. I have no regrets though. It's been a wild ride. Have a blessed day gal.

My goodness, Tom! You are just full of the darnedest stories! Poor Jan to have an emergency C-section! And I guess it's the best time to have the tubes tied while she was having surgery. That is so funny to have twins with different birthdays but of course, that can happen! Wish you had put this in the Share Your Story contest. Enjoyed reading!

Question:
That left me, not that I was trying. (trying to do what? to have a boy? I almost wondered if you meant "not that I wasn't trying." Seems like having five children showed you were doing your best!)
Typos:
Celebicy wasn't an option, (Celibacy)
her to try differnt things (different)
How the heck can that be? Jan had been getting regular check ups on the farm, and had even come to Juneau for a checkup, and nothing was said about twins. (question mark)

    Hello Helen,
my life hasn't been boring! Isn't it delightful that God takes the reigns and fashions our lives in ways we never could have imagined? We all have a story, and they are all fascinating. Thanks so much my friend, for the fine review and catching those errors. Have a blessed day gal.

I loved your story Tom, but I do feel a bit sorry for your wife having to keep going to give you a son. But happily your dream of a boy turned out to give you a double surprise here! Seven children! Wow Tom, you and your wife were so brave to bring this large family into the world and you can now relax with them all grown up. I expect the twins have been a big support for each other too. Your name is safe now. My Father desperately wanted a boy after three daughters to carry on the family name and he got his wish as the fourth child was a boy. A fine story Tom, Love Dolly x

    Hello Dolly,
thanks so much for your excellent review and comments. We weren't really trying to have a boy, it was kind of like the roulette wheel, we always landed on pink. I was accepting the fact that I'd never have a boy when Jan got pregnant the last time. Honestly, she was so good looking, I couldn't leave her alone, and we were both healthy, so I guess nature took it's course. Have a blessed day gal.

Tom, what a fantastic story! How wonderful to have twin boys after five girls. I wanted twin boys after my two girls, but there was just one (boy). He would be the last to carry on my husband's name, as his brother had had three daughters. Alas, it has come to a halt anyway - my one and only son has had three daughters! Lol.

    Hello Wendy,
thanks so much for the great review and comments. I appreciate your pointing out my errors too. I guess I missed using spell check. It was looking like our family name was going to die out, but Ben's wife is expecting a son, so at least for the next generation, there will be another Botts. Have a blessed day gal.
