Joyce is one horrible lady, if you can call her that! I wonder if there will be trouble over the bull? It's obvious whoever stole him, didn't know about the other marking on him. This is another wonderfull chapter, Barbara. Well done, and safe journey home! :)) Sandra xx

Dang! Ali and Cord are so good together. Like Katherine and Coach, they seemed to belong together for all time and there was always an eternal presence about them (and I don't mean that in a religious way, but that they were star-blest, if you will)!
After the pizzas were eaten and Cordero paid, [perhaps "Cordero HAD paid" so it doesn't sound like he received money.]
She released a deep breath and pointed. "That Luke guy." [There was a good internal echo when I saw his name and remembered the earlier incident. The tension has been revved up greatly now. Good work!]
"I'm sure it wasn't, but I have a feeling you enjoyed it." [That had me laughing out loud!]
Cordero verified the brand inside the bull's ear. [That wasn't where you said the blue Christian fish was earlier. Oops, I didn't read far enough. Sorry, my mistake. Cattle ranchers must have had hidden brands everywhere!]
One of your best chapters, Barbara! Now that his calloused hand almost decapitated a girly part of Ali, won't you at least reward your reader with a kiss? (I'm just continuing the tease about how you're suspending that moment.)

This is a great chapter. It was pretty exciting with finding the bull and then the rant with Joyce. She seems to be mad all the time and also lies saying she didn't get the message. Cord had enough of her long before he met Ali.
