I love the picture you have picked to accompany this piece. The poem is fast-paced and focused. The immediate use of color splatters the reader's vision. The mention of an angel and the image grows until you are flying above it all having a calm peace come over you.

The picture displayed is very creative. I like your rhyme and I think that you could add something like sight flight. It is only my opinion, anyway it is excellent. Good luck!

This is an excellent 1-6-1 poem for the contest
with three very good rhymes and wonderful imagery
of that transitory moment.
It's nice to see the representation of light
as the destination.

I think you and your husband are earth angels, taking care of his dad. I know how hard it can be, I took care of my mom at home before she passed. I hope he finds peace soon in heaven...God bless you and your husband.
