This is a very nice 75-word flash fiction contest entry. I like venom that comes from a pen, not a sword, like you've eloquently portrayed in your story.

The first two are true then the third could mean death but the person was spotted at the water edge and still searching means this person just decided to walk away. Nice Flash Fiction.

Wow, that is a powerful story. It has such a twist at the end, that leaves me wondering. "That's a powerful punch to the reader. Sock to the gut, one might think." I am riveted to my seat almost. You've done quite a good job telling a story in a short amount of time and left the reader sad, but hopeful at the same time... for maybe the outcome is not necessarily what was thought. Great job! Good to read your writing again. :)

Wow, that is a powerful story. It has such a twist at the end, that leaves me wondering. "That's a powerful punch to the reader. Sock to the gut, one might think." I am riveted to my seat almost. Dang! I wish I had a six for this, Ulla. This is the most mysterious piece I've read in a very, very long time. Mysterious on all levels. You leave unanswered questions, I long to know the answers two. And then you compound it by using the words, "I spread the rumour". OMG, What! What! What???
