I can see where you get your Grace from, only Grace begets Grace, children are so special, one loves the smallest tribute and receives it with honour and delight, it's never about the gift, but the giver of the gift. Beautifully written a great triolet, good luck, blessings Roy

Your approach to the Triolet is an excellent one! I read your notes first, and I don't mind finding pleasure in the dandelion because I do not consider them "pesky weeds" at all!
I notice the repetitive lines in this piece, and I love the wonderful story about your giving many dandelion flowers to your mother and her putting them in a vase, all proud and smiling. Thank you for sharing this lovely story with us and for sharing your love of dandelions with me, as well!
Take care,
Jesse

I love dandelions and gave my Mom a bouquet of them when I was a child. Your words are full of love and show how the beauty of what is considered a weed, spreads joy and love. "A crown of gold bursts into view" is a perfect line to describe the dandelions.

Spring brings forth new life and also brings back memories of our loves ones, and daffodils always remind me of my husband as the garden we shared was filled with them. An uplifting write about a sad remembrance, love Dolly x

Dandelions for Mom
Lovely poem about giving mom flowers. Most children do it. I did. I loved picking flowers for mom. Now I walk with my grandson and he picks flowers for his mom.
Your poem has great imagery and presentation. Good luck in the Thoughts on mom. writing prompt contest.

You put a lot of thought and texture into this short piece. repetition can be tricky but you handle it with great skill. The images are bold and paint a perfect picture of Spring warmth.

This is so sweet. I love receiving little nature gifts from my kids. But they are usually in the form of Spanish moss, rocks, or "cool sticks." LOL
But to me they are just as lovely as flowers.
Good luck in the writing prompt contest. I hope this does well.
Cheers!

Thank you! Who does not enjoy a lovely stick or two? If you collect enough, they look very beautiful in a vase. :-) Thanks again for reading and reviewing. Hugs.

I enjoyed your post, but maybe you should be more sensitive to old folks like me. I had to strain to read. The font was small and tended to disappear with a similar color background. That said, it was worth the strain. I was reminded of a past member, adewpearl, who frequently wrote of dandelions. To most, just a weed, not to a poet!

Would you mind looking at the poem again to see if the appearance is easier to view? I would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks in advance. And if not, that's OK too. Hugs. :-)

Oh, much better. I even read it again!
