There are times in our lives we are called on to do 'the hard things'. Those things we hope and pray others would be willing to do for us. I think you've captured one of those hard times here. This is good. Thanks!

Wow! This is so powerful. I don't think there is anything as sad as the loss of a child. So many times it happens so suddenly that it can't be comprehended. I've done a lot of research into family histories and so many times I find that as recently as the mid 1800s, people would have 7-10 children and only 2-3 would survive to teen years, let alone adulthood. I don't know how they carried on.

Neither do I! I do ancestry too and have discovered how difficult it was raise a child so that they survived to adulthood. Having lost two children and a grandson, I wish it on no one, including an enemy. There is no forgetting or setting it aside; the loss lives in your heart and mind, every moment of the day. Sometimes it's easier and other times it's not. Thanks again!

You are right! It's not something you ever get over - it lives in your heart and your mind forever. I am sure that much of the dark side and hopefully the love too is hidden in my stories and what I portray in a character. That's why I am so fortunate to have kind friends like you.
