One day, probably many years in the future, but it will come, the world will be at peace, and we will become one people--the Human race. Colour, race, language, whatever we are, will not matter. We will be named, God's children. Until that day comes, all of us, you, and people like you must continue the job God has given us, to put His word out there and bring His children home. Well done, my friend, your poem is lovely. Warm hugs, and love. Sandra xxx

For I own little in this life,
though rich in children, grands and wife.
And you can burn my home to ash,
but you can never steal faith's stash.
Send your army, grind men's bones,
for what I own is God's alone.
For time will judge the ferry's fare,
yes, I am rich... my cupboard's bare.
Powerfully and beautifully penned throughout its quatrains format structure, full of Our Lord's gracious grace and true faith for our neighbours' helping sake! Great Work indeed!
I complete six which I do not have at the moment!Take care!

Yes, we all were created equal and my husband in not taking the issues in the US very well. He did twenty-three years in the military and was deployed numerous times to fight for freedom and our way of life. It sees it all going out the window.

It's a shame the world leaders can't work
for the welfare or of mankind instead of
for power and riches. I like that forth verse.
Well done, Roy. Nancy:)

Thanks again for sharing. "Do we fight for freedom" It is filled with questions about freedom as the reader works their way through the poem. It questions one's beliefs. It addresses the free and the bound and it seems to challenges freedom of body mind and soul. Being a family person I gravitated to the verse where you address the value of having family and having increasing faith makes life rich and more rewarding than material wealth. I am unsure whether or not at times the inspiration and interpretation that I draw from reading your
works does it justice and my revelation even come close to what you hoped to impart.
But I thank you because it often takes me out of my comfort zone to appreciate the gifts, talents and powerful messages our God has ordained to be shared by his chosen child in their own unique way. And reading what others impart encourages me. I envision so many of you as the Poets and Writers of our time like Milton & Shakespeare etc.. Another awesome submission. Congrats!

Roy,
This piece offers some good food for thought. It's true that it is merely luck of the draw to see if we are born white/black or whatever. Also, where we land as a place to live.
It's all very crazy to think about. Thanks!

Hello Roy,
Nice piece of poetry having impressive wording, smooth flow from top to bottom with lovely rhyming scheme, and transparently depicting its theme.
3rd stanza is particularly noteworthy.

I found this wonderful piece quite interesting with a lot of introspective questions. In Christ, we find freedom, although we lose our earthly acquisitions, we gain the promises of everlasting life. Thanks for sharing your inspirations.
