It seems to me that this pumpkin pie contest is all about uproar and yelling. You are trying to cover your ears to not get dumb. The to your surprise, you won. What a luck.

Thanks for creating a seasonal poem that is different than most. I take it the people in the crowd are really serious about their pumpkin pie championship! I can envision the noise in the crowd at a harvest festival. You captured it well with your well-chosen words.

You've provided not one, but three words, and described them beautifully. This acrostic is outstanding in as much that it's Quite different, I love this imaginative work, creative and excellent, well done, good luck, blessings Roy

The word Broughaha. Very unusual word. It first sounded to my ears like a hilarious outburst of laughing. I needed the author's notes (thank you) to see what it actually means. It makes sense in this acrostic poem. Quite nice!

This is a fun contest entry built off of an unusual word, Mystery Writer. You presented it well--I like the bold first letter, the art choice is perfect, and your words tell a great little story.
Best wishes.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

JAN, SMILING BACK! I miss the old time country fairs and all the ruckus that accompanied the circus-like events.

This is certainly unique and followed the rules exactly. It made me chuckle a bit. Your illustration, of course, pairs perfectly and sets the stage for your words. Nicely done.

How large are these pumpkins and this festival and what was the prize won for the winner. If the people and winner were that loud than it must have a very popular event.
You did a good job telling the tale is poetic form. Like the matching acrostic down the side too.

This acrostic poem, Pie Contest, presented with the vertical lettering theme,BROUHAHA, makes me imagine a pie awarding contest that ends up like a Three Stooges pie throwing affair.

Bill, i eons of years ago, those county fairs did bring about a years worth of local competition for the trophy pie, jams, crafts, etc.

Brouhaha ... What a unique word choice! Nice!!
I do enjoy the competitions of old- when you watch them on tv- that show the evils that seem to surface to have the best pie in the fair.
'replete with expletives from an unwise bupkis,' What a great line!
Enjoyed!!
