I thought the poem got stronger and stronger and the end was my favorite part as this kite sails away on the breeze with the sky opening wider and wider endlessly. It really speaks of the power of the human spirit, the power of hope, that springs eternal in the breast and carries over the raging sea estory

Comment from Loren .
A truly beautiful and tranquil post. Makawiwo'ou is one of my favorite Hawaiian performers. Especially this rendition of Over the Rainbow . I understand he has passed away, but he's left us with this treasure.

Hi Sally,
My energy level is very low and I won't be spending much time on F.S., but I did want to pop in and tell you how lovely this posting is. I hate to put a damper on the mood you set, but I kept thinking about how folks are crowding on the beach, unmasked. We're living in strange times, my dear.
Hugs, Lou

Thank you Bill. I'm so glad you stopped by to check out my Nonet for the Nines. I hope you'll try one, too. We did have a nice vacation and it seem to come in just the right time. Sending my best today as always, Sally ;)

Excellent! Hopefully you are safe and allowed to BE by the sea. This flows and reminds me of the waves coming in gently. Absolutely lovely! I need to get to water sometime this summer, but as things are, it may not happen! Lovely. A definite sixer Nonet!

Hi Sally,
I love an ocean beach, just walking along ankle-deep. The waves wash away time.
I like the rhymes in your nonet, "sea/me, flops/crops, flight/kite.
I like the way you describe how the experience lifts your spirit,
"Like a bright kite
Jetting towards
Pale blue
Skies"
Nicely penned!
Cheers,
Kimbob

Excuse me... and just where have you been? Shock therapy must work for you. I've missed you, Kimbob. So glad you could stop by and catch the waves and clear blue skies.
Sending you my best today as always,

Hi Sally, Since mid-March I've been writing poems for our local historian, David Goss. He has a Walks 'n Talks program in the Saint John area... though most of them have been cancelled for 2020. He also asked me to write the foreword for his new book, which was launched last Saturday at Loyalist Coins & Collectibles. He the foreword in poetic form. I called it "Saint John: Home Sweet Home". I will be posting these poems over the next few weeks in Fanstory. It's nice to be missed! Thanks for that!

Blessings Sally. I enjoyed your Nonet of Nines, By the Sea. So many feelings and observations of the beach in just a few syllables, ending with a leap into the sky toward pale blue skies. Nicely done.
