This is such a touching poem. Your love for your daughter is immeasurable and very evident. She is special indeed and God chose you to be her father. He knew he had to get the perfect person to care for Cathy. Beautiful!

I'm thankful for the way you see your daughter, and the trust God had in you to gift her to you. It is hard to understand God, but more than anything, I think without what He does in our lives, we couldn't possibly know Him well enough. I'm sure you know Him well after all you have struggled with.

I'm sure many people will not understand unless they too have either come to faith in Christ, personally have a child or close relative with mental problems or both. I'm glad you do understand and it is clear you are a believer.
