Thanks so much Yvette for introducing this Japanese form to us. I like learning about new forms. Your love theme was well done and fun to read. Loved it.

Hello Yvette,
You written an excellent kouta of four 7-5-7-5 lines
with dreamy imagery of the lovers.
The touch of alliteration and the rhyme add to the romantic feel and the art work matches perfectly.
Nicely done
Robert

I confess to not liking very short forms of poetry, but this one struck a chord. 'Secrets found beneath the stars' especially good. I don't know if I'll try one of this form. I'm horrible at short poems. Very well done.

Thanx so much for your review on this 'newly discovered' short form, Yvonne... gotta keep life interesting, ya know?! ;) :) I'll let you decide if you'd like to step out on this one, but, perhaps, it would be a great one on a day when you just needed another offering to post with it being short and all -- you know, just to keep your talented 'poet pen' working for that day...LOL! ;) :) Have a bright, sunshiny week! ;) Yvette

Interesting form - I'll make note of that. Enjoyed your poem - and the image your chose was compelling. Had to read the poem. Two folks sitting on a high branch. Hope they don't fall. The poem does sound a bit like a song.

This is one that has escaped my attention, thanks for bringing it up Yvette, I'm not sure if it has something a satori line like the haiku, but I'll look it up, a beautifully even and sweetly timed poem. Very smooth, blessings Roy

Bingo - you just got your 25th reader, haha. My oh my, I can't keep up with all these poetry forms. However, after reading your notes I think you did a top notch job with this. Hugs, Lou

I like how the emphasized words you chose (whisper, secrets, kiss, dream) all fit into a single theme, giving the Kouta beautiful coherence. "Dew drop's kiss" is a wonderful metaphor, too! I love that your words left me under a spell! :)

I enjoyed your poem, YM. It is a new style for me. I like it much better than haiku. Your lines flow smoothly with good rhyme and great imagery. The image is beautiful I will try this style soon when I have some $$$$$. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully with Love and Admiration, Jan.

Oh, My Lady of the South!!! How romantic.... and it's in time for Valentine's day too... you need to print it up and sell cards! Quick!!! Call Hallmark!!! Or maybe not them... it will be way too plain a card. I got a few Christmas cards (very few) at this place in Fanuel Hall. The kind that they do the 3D pictures for, when you open them, the picture comes up... so lovely. You should have this done that way. The poem on a card... tucked inside. :)

You are FAR TOO kind, my Beautiful Friend, but I certainly needed the shot in the arm, so THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! I haven't seen the sun since Tuesday morning and when it came out for a little bit this afternoon I went and sat out in it: yes, it's 40 degrees with a 'feel's like' temperature near 30, but DAMMIT, I needed some solar sunshine infusion!! ;) :) So, now I'm taking my little bit of 'sunshine storage' and trying to catch up on reviewing... I HATE winter not so much for the cold (although, let's face it, that is certainly a 'thing' for me, too!) but for the SERIOUS LACK of sunshine in the South!! I need my sunshine!!
Anyway, to this one: I ran across it over the holidays and decided to give it a go? you just made it worth the effort!! ;) Would love to see your pen see what it could do with it? !! ;) Thanx again and have a bright, sunshiny week up there! ;) Yvette
