Oh no! You can't be serious. Nadya wasn't expecting him to come home I presume. Perhaps it's not what I think since you've left a cliffhanger here. I like the way that you've presented this. It causes the reader to have to think a bit about what's going on. Perhaps she's sleeping. I like this Ulla and enjoyed reading this well written work. Well done!

That's what I like about Flash Fiction. Because of the limited word count, the reader necessarily has to imagine a great deal. Your flash fiction sends the reader's mind soaring. I also love the photo. It's beautiful and romantic, much like your story.

Hello Ulla. I like stories that leave the conclusion to the readers imagination. If it is a 300 page novel, I want the answers. If it is a flash fiction, let the reader decide or shock them with the resolution. Robert

I think this is an interesting entry for the 75 Words Flash Fiction contest.
Unfortunately, I don't think you gave me enough to go on. I can't guess the rest.
Also, there is one word, " The cold Moscow air still send out its freezing tongues" Should this be "still sent" or "still sends"?

Your descriptive elements freeze the reader in the Moscow grey, dark, and icy moment. No idea where it will lead and then suddenly, the sorrowful shock ending. Very nicely presented Ulla! Good luck!

I can't guess! This is so brief and so well written and I can think of many different things the noises could be. I do want to tell you that I love the phrase send out it's freezing tongues. I am kind of a word freak and I love certain phrases and words. That's a great one. Well, I can't figure it out but I bet it does great at the contest!
