I cam tell you had fun with this flash fiction challenge. I have to agree I've even seem people with baby aligators going for walks down the street (not here but in movies).
They are insane... I really feel for the poor amimal.

I held a baby hedgehog at a pet store and was sorely temped to take him home with me. But I couldn't see cuddling up with him, so I declined. Some little creatures just aren't meant to be pets. I'm glad this is going on strike!

AAAaaaHAHAHAHA! Feisty for such a tiny creature. I am charmed by this story, Ulla, thoroughly amused. Just one thing -- you started out by enclosing that first paragraph with quotation marks (as dialogue), but where are they for the rest of what this little critter is saying?

I sometimes wonder if they don't tell their buddies about what their human did today. Maybe tell a few stupid human jokes, lol. The poem is well-written, comical. Good luck with your contest.
