Trying to keep up with which colors mean what feeling takes constant research for me. Aside from red roses for love, I don't quite know the others, just what colors I like! Good poem.

I'm not equipped to comment on the poetic form, but I do admire your skill and artistry in this poem.

The language of flowers is lost now except for the meaning of the ubiquitous red rose of love. Your verse takes us back to the manners and customs of an earlier time. Intriguing.

Thanks for sharing the fruits of your research.

Blessings Julia

The repeat line is used cleverly here to unite the previous lines of each stanza in a different meanings. all the various points touched on hrere are indeed 'symbols of deep feelings' good or bad.

I admired your selection of the Rondeau for your description of the language of love. Your repeat and several examples of the symbolic flowers were very appealing. Big cheers- Joan

-Lovely image and
nice presentation, June.
-The imagery is very good,
as well as the repeating line.
-The description of all of
the flowers is effective
and creates a smooth flow in the poem:
"Hyacinths were playful and light"
-The conclusion is very good, too.

A lot of men have trouble expressing love. Good thing they have flowers to help them out. It's also a good thing women love them. I've heard different flowers have different meanings. Other than roses, I don't know what they are.
