This is a good response for the Take A Walk poetry contest. And I'm sure everyone enjoyed your apple pie. Now, just so you know, for next time, my favorite pie is Pumpkin!
I can actually picture you going for walk with your camera as I read this poem.
When I think of apples, I remember "Apple Day". The Boy Scouts and Cubs always sold apples every fall. Similarly, the Girl Guides and Brownies sold their cookies. As a Cub Leader, I would tell the boys to shine their apples till they sparkled.
Nicely penned! Thanks for sharing.

Apples are so famous. "An apple a day keeps the doctor away" "Mom and apple pie" yes, we love apples and it is a well deserved love. Congratulations if your pie was the winner. The poem is fun.

This reminds me of growing up on a farm. We had lots of apple trees. Johnny Appleseed must have passed our way. Your poem is an excellent contest entry and the picture perfectly illustrates it. You should do very well in the voting booth. Good luck I hope you win.

I have to agree that fruit picked straight off the tree tastes so much more tastier than the ones bought at the store. Judging by this poem, I can taste how delicious that prize-winning apple pie was.

Hoho, Sally, lugging 12 pounds of apples anywhere gets a big heavy. I think this is a very good write and is beautifully presented on the page. Baking apple pies always makes the house smell so good. I need to do that soon. A very nice poem.
