Hello Tootie. Ya'll sure are making it hard on Bill. To put a minute trip correct and now he got a black panther bearing down on them. People don't get treated that badly in soap operas. LOLOL. I'm still reading. Robert

Lots of humor and wit in this chapter as Bill and Cathy and grandpa get into that accident and chase down all those chickens, and grandpa winds up admiring the pretty cheerleader he was about to box. Nice little twist there. I liked the suspense at the end when the panther is about to pounce and you leave us hanging for the next chapter. The prayer was full of wit and humor too. Nice touches with the down home language. estory

These two seem to attract one dilemma after another and always at the most inconvenient time. A panther? Really? I don't think I've heard of such a thing in that part of the country but I'm sure how it got there will be made clear in the next segment. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

This is an AWESOME chapter, Cathy & Bill. I enjoyed reading it. The cover design is perfect.
The details included in this chapter add much insight into the family dynamics, each character, and the development of the novel.
The dialogue is authentic. I like the interaction it brings to life within the scenes with various characters. The scene with the chickens escaping jail is funny (because no one or 'thing' was injured in the crash). "Bunny" seems to be one of those women who believes she can 'get by' on charm alone. I like what Billy reminded Grandpa about being married to Grandma.
I enjoyed the discussion about the Crimson Tide football team. I like that part as it keeps readers aware of the time frame of the novel.
The lines about Bill's home add much depth to the story. Those lines give readers more info on his family, his earlier life, and the influence on his later life from the interactions with family members. He is always respectful, and Grandpa is always a great role model. Now the description of the meal sounded scrumptious. Yes, there is nothing like home cooking, and Grandma's is the best. Grandpa's prayer is awesome.
I like the poem Bill recited. It is great to see this side of him. It seems spontaneous and heartfelt.

This story becomes more beautiful and intriguing with each chapter. This part made me laugh a lot and in my humble opinion is the salt - the most beautiful part of this chapter "Heavenly Father! Unselfishly, I ask, please, reach down Your hand and destroy the jugs of moonshine I have buried all around. Then, change me from this creature I am. The Bible tells us many things. Some are at the forefront of our priorities. Tonight, I humble myself before You, knowing that there are those who don't have a roof over their heads and are disabled. Yet, sometimes I tend to forget about them. You ask us to care for our fellow man and woman. I do believe in You, and ask that my grandson, Billy, follow You along the pathway of tomorrow, then find the special purpose in his life. Let him be what others need, Lord. This is all I ask.
