Another excellent part, Barbara! Drew is most definitely a tad upset! LOL, and he's not going to leave Shana again, Hmm, now we know what that means, he's going to make sure she marries him. I don't envy Jeff and Michael's meeting with Drew! Well done, my friend, can't wait for the next part. :) Sandra xx

Drew is justifiably angry. Someone is going to have to explain how Patricia got into the house and so close to Shana. Shana may be fine but Drew is seriously angry and I doubt any answers will lessen his anger.

A passive woman and an active man can create some very interesting action. This is very with a smooth flow of words, making for an excellent read. Good job.

Good afternoon, Barbara
Enjoyed the post. Virtual six. Wow, the tension and anger in the air was palpable. I can imagine it took all of Drew's self control not to explode, yet mixed within his anger and disappointment was his genuine concern for Shana's safety. Should be interesting when he's back at the apartment. Well done!

Take care and stay safe,

Ray

Awesome post, Barb. Oh, my God! Your expertise in writing is commendable. As I began reading your presentation, I felt a magnetic force pulling my mind in, and would not let go until I reached the end. The remote and impersonal man in the artwork certainly stimulates the imagination. Keep your quill wet with ink and keep on a 'writing. I'm waiting for your next post. Happy Labor Day, best wishes and God bless!

Wow! This is great. Anderson isn't too pleased with what's happened in his absence, to say the least. It takes a while for him to get the story, too. He declares he's never going to leave Shana again. Great work in showing the various reactions to what occurred and why Patricia landed in the hospital. Excellent work with moving the story along. As I was thinking about Patricia's appearance and her being ordered to kill Shana, it occurred to me that we hadn't heard from Patricia in a while. You might consider making reference to her in a chapter leading up to your last, maybe offering some kind of hint. Patricia seems unlikely to be a hit woman unless you take us a little bit into her character. It doesn't have to be much, but an indication that trouble's brewing with her. Unless my memory has caused me to forget. judi

You're welcome. I've probably forgotten when you last mentioned Patricia--before she showed up with the gun. judi

Hi, Barbara,

I wondered how Drew was going to react to this news. You did a great job of expressing his emotions.

Looking forward to the next part,

A few notes,

'"Yes, everything's fine. I finished 'King Lear'. (the punctuation goes INSIDE the quote marks - even if they are single.)

'I'll be home in about two and (a) half hours.'

'I think under the circumstances...'

'I'm paying a small fortune for while this was...(this seems awkward - a while?

'"All right. I'll be home in about two and (a) half hours.'

Hi Barbara, This is another fine chapter to the story. I'm glad it was finally there. So Shana is threatened, and Drew is livid. So he's never going to leave her alone again? Romance or even love is definitely in the air. Just one minor thing:
I think under circumstances you'd be happy to pay her debts." = I think under the circumstances you'd ..."
All the best. Ulla:)))

Hello Barb
I like how you know how to keep me tense in this chapter with the cell call between Anderson (Drew) and Shana,
I may be totally off base, by thinking Drew had planned that his e-wife Patrica go see Shana?

"He'll calm down by the time he gets home. His anger rarely lasts long." Michael headed for the kitchen. "I need a drink." LOL! I should say! I need a drink myself just reading it! You really keep the tension high, here. Great job, Barb.

Ooh, I'd love to have someone like Anderson in my corner. "By the way, I'm never leaving you again." Come on down! Great stuff, Barbara. I'm really enjoying this novel. Wish I had a six. It's such a smooth read. Good flow with nothing to disturb the reader all the way through. Loved it.
