Wow...haven't you just hit the nail on the head! How innocent we all are at the "get-go". What happens to make us so suspicious...I just watched a documentary on Gary Shandling and he said that it takes such work to truly be yourself, you're never finished. It struck me that that was such a deep, real statement. Much like this poem of yours. Thank you for this wonderful work. Dorinda

That is a cute photo. Excellent thought in this. Children hide their bodies, thinking they won't be seen. Adults hide their minds. I think people learn to do this fairly early in life. They think it's better to keep their thoughts hidden. Maybe the think others won't appreciate what's on their minds. Your 5-7-5 syllable count is right on the money. Best of luck in the contest. judi

You have a good point. Probably best not to allow all of thoughts we think to be uttered. Thank you for your lovely review and excellent rating

Lol. Very cute. And sometimes children cover their eyes and think they are hiding their bodies which is even funnier. But then again, grownups do other silly things. Fun poem with a deep message.

This is a super cute picture. Kids are the funniest things. =} I think you did a great job with the 5-7-5 poem and also shared wise words with us that are all too true. I hope you do well in the contest.

Nice poem, I enjoyed it. I like the way you contrast the role of hiding between children and adults, it makes you think. Thanks for sharing this and have yourself a really great day

So adorable! So funny how little children think! If they can't see US then they must be invisible! MY son, when he was one, used to run to hide behind the clothesline pole every single time we played Hide and Seek outdoors! He denies it now of course...but how we laughed! Sometimes I think we're think we can hide from our Maker in this way. It doesn't fork for us either....our Father? Who art in Heaven? Ah....he' one to us!

GREAT POEM!

Your poem speaks a great deal of truth. When I think of talking to a young child, I remember them telling me everything they know in about five minutes, and then they quick talking. Not so with adults. Best wishes.
