Innovative and expressive. Good impact with this, the way should be written and I can tell you, felt every impute and injection of pace and reason intended for the reader.
Bravo.
Between Hitchcock and Stephen King for reference.
Jolly good job.
I loved the fact that you used this from Rasmine. Certainly suits the piece.
My best wishes. Great job.

I am wowed by this review. Your comments excited me and inspired me to keep writing. This review from a master of the craft, for a novice such as myself, makes me feel that there is a chance of success in reaching my dream. Being respected as a poet is that dream.
You have made my night.
Have a great weekend.

You, too???? Some people seem to remember to write down their ideas. Not me. I always think I'll remember them. hahaha
I love the rhyming of the alternating lines. Very clever.

I have this problem from time to time as well. Keeping a pen and pad by the bed helps - but not always.
Excellent presentation for this idea to write about that dies suddenly.
Fun post.
Blessings

What a lyrical, Dr Seuss feeling your poem has. :-)
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who struggles with keeping my mind on the prompt!
Nicely written, great ending to your dilemma piece. :-)

The word is, "AWESOME!" The last time I woke in the middle of the night, with an idea of words to write, the power was off. I felt my way to the oil lamp, struck a match, lit it and yelled, "Oh, my God! I've got the writer's block, should have paid the electricity bill." Been there--done that! A commendable presentation, Brigitte. Keep on writing, my dear friend, the train is coming around the bend. Toot toot! Best wishes and God bless.

I have to write ideas down or I will forget them. I like your use of words here that makes your poem unique. "Secrets surface in the brain" is a great line that is so true, secrets do surface in the brain. Excellent use of action words in your poem.

Very unusual verse - you have certainly told it how it is. The writer's block comes to life with rhythm it seems. The art work is certainly fitting along with black screen. Good message here!

This was well written with great theme and imagery.
It flowed well and read well with no grammar issues as well.
Adjective Content was aligned well with Objective Content and Descriptive Measures aligned perfectly.

This poem had an interesting rhythm with all those interspersed triple repetitions, I haven't heard this used in poetry before. So it is fresh and a bit groundbreaking there. It kind of has a mechanical, measured feel to it, something imposed on experience, interrupting it. the images seem to swirl in between, flashes of cobwebs and quills and valium bottles. There is a dream like quality to it, a surreal abstractionism in which the creative process is murky, ethereal. estory

Hi Brigitte, this poem really whizzes along. I know the feeling - trying too hard can make the head buzz. It is a good read and most annoying when the ideas come in the middle of the night - OK if you can get up without disturbing someone else who may be in the bed, LOL. Good read. Regards Dorothy x
