Thank you. There are two years difference in age between you and my wife and your husband is one year older than me. We have been together for 46 years. It seems that there are a few similarities between us. I am sure that your husband sees you in a very positive light as the habit that is prevalent in todays world is for men to look at younger, much younger women for pleasure. It is a trap that only results in heartbreak and regret. I am sure that like me, he appreciates love and loyalty over a younger face and body.

Yours is a simple tale of boy meets girl, boy finds the courage to chat up girl, boy and girl live happily ever after - it would never do as a novel - there is no conflict!
As a poem, however, it works - or partly works. Re-reading this I am thinking, "Where's the poetry?" There is some description, some narrative; it's pleasant, but short of that extra spark that marks poetry. the closest you get to true poetic language is "Her voice was like honey poured over my favorite dish "
One tiny typo in the last line - it my sound --> it may sound

Thank you for a most wonderful review. Your words touch my heart in a profound way and my spirits are totally lifted. My books were published by a publisher who did not charge me. Unfortunately, they are no longer publishing, I do not at this time know of another publisher who will publish a previously unpublished author. Good luck in your pursuits. I suggest that you search on the internet, that is how I found the publisher I used.

Everyone is different obviously, I personally believe that woman are more skilled at masking their emotions when it comes to showing interest in someone of the opposite sex. I had an edge as I was taught many secrets by my two older sisters. Rule number one was, dare to be sincere. If a woman rejects your sincerity, she may not be worthy of you. There were many more things like this that I learned, but I will keep them to myself for now.

My first actual meeting with my wife of 44 years did not go exactly like i wrote it but we are together for 46 years so I'm happy.
