A little gem friend, the visuals conjured up in the mind's eye are too cool for school, they come alive and surf their way to shore. Just checked, I do have a six left. it's yours : )

the satori does indeed make a great finish line to the imagery. I have seen the reflection shimmering across the waves and this is just that.

Howdy, Gypsy;
-this is a perfect visual anatomy of the sun shining on the tips of the waves of a river. You have captured the essence of how the sun shines directly on the tips of a wave that rolls along the river in Sacramento.
-Two very grammatically connected lines with an imagery that is and definitively expressive and demonstratively descriptive.
-A wonderful satori that gives an aha moment and a specific spontaneity of excitement which is relative to the conceptual theme.
-I truly enjoyed this one. I have not read and haiku that was that definitively expressive in a long time because I live in Sacramento and I remember witnessing those silver tips on the river of the South American fork.
-Take care and have a good one and God bless.

Hello Gypsy,

This one felt like heat waves flowing over a river and then the sun surfing image left me feeling like there is this golden boy riding the waves ... A strange one for me. xoxo Kiwi

Haiku Club Challenges, Book II. Lets explore and give this a peep. 24-Boo Ghost. Hey, that is me, i promise next work wil be a haiku with some prose. Forget what fancy acronym you give it. Now, lets look. Nice blend of S letter alliterations. Nice word choices, I like. Good imagination and flow. presentation looks grand. this is unusual for sun theme. BOO-tastic!

Ah, Gypsy, this is a beautiful Haiku. I love how you made it specific to Sacramento rather than describe a generic river which could be anywhere. Poem remind me of classic Haiku poets who wrote about specific mountains and rivers. You have an effective use of S alliteration and consonance. I also love your imagery of silver waves on the Sacramento representing the sun surfing. Dip would love this Haiku!

Thank you for sharing your talent again.

    I'll try to have a nice day. It's been raining a lot in this part of Minnesota.

Oh, the sun adds a sparkle to brighten up every day, and I bet it was a beautiful sight glistening on the Sacramento, sun surfing. It's sure creates a picture for an old hang-ten or wave-hugging cat who used to roam Huntington and Newport beaches to catch a breaker. Great job. :-)

Very nicely done, Gypsy. The silvery light on the ripples in a river often look like they are riding, or surfing, on the top of the waters. The Satori is simple yet quite effective and true.
