Hi Barbara, Good question indeed, Why is she so interested in getting the painting back. That is a question that still has to be answered. I love the story, and I'm looking forward to reading on. All the best. Ulla:)))

"Why? I'm glad it's safe, but why would anybody choose to live like this?" asked Shana. "Back home I didn't need armed security guards and bulletproof glass." She glanced toward the elevator. "A normal key unlocked my front door."

"New York City poses its own security issues. Drew is a powerful man and sometimes his decisions are unpopular." Philip paused. "Since he's in the oil business, the environmental people have been known to get upset."
"I imagine they would voice their concerns, not physically attack. These people are trying to...," Shana used a tissue to dab her eyes, "wage war on me and it's over a painting."
Philip leaned forward in his chair and his eyes met Shana's. "I know I'm sticking my nose in your personal business, but I'm curious. Your father didn't seem to be overly interested in getting this painting back. Why is it so important to you?"
Such clever and interesting gripping writing. I liked the inclusion of Candy Land :) Wonderful as always kindest regards Meia x

Thank you for the review. I brought the child into the study, I need to remember to take care of her and do age appropriate activities.

I almost missed this! This is a good chapter.

I would be very freaked out by the helicopter, also. That was a very original idea and kind of creepy. :P

You take care.

Why is it so important to you?"
Good question.
I see a little action going on. Thus far they really never leave the Fort Knox apartment. Will there be gun fire or car chases, or some romance? I guess I get like a guy, I want things to blow up. LOL.

A great chapter, Barbara. I could have happily read on.
They are remarkably calm, but it's plausible that Shana's upset. But why is she so
keen to get the painting back? Is it worth putting her life in danger for it?

Hi Barbara,

Easy to understand why Shana would be so upset. The others are remarkably calm it seems...

at least your paperwork." Philip used his hand to shield the sun." - delete the speech marks from the end here.

bulletproof can be one word.

Thank you for the catches. I have made the corrections. I tried bulletproof as one word and my spell check through a fit. Think I'll check the dictionary. You're correct it is one word. Should have checked in the first place.

Good morning, Barbara

Out of sixes. Great continuation. You've captured the increasing angst regarding the helicopter, yet countered it by a sense of security the apartment would provide if they were under attack. Enjoyed.

Take care and stay safe,

Ray

Last but one paragraph, I think you meant to say, 'imagine'. An interesting story, loving the natural dialogue back and forth making me feel I was really there listening to the conversation, a well written piece, love Dolly x

Yes, my question too. Why is Shana so determined to get the painting back? It may be putting her life in danger. It's only a painting! It's not worth it!
