Even God looks down, God-gifted perfect in view with bright eyes and pure smile, the one everyone feels pleasure to meet; I liked the persona and enjoyed the exaltation, like an ode, free flow of thoughts with unrestricted rhymes and imagery.

This is actually a great poem and tribute. Your use of rhyme and rhythm are rich and evocative. I love how your words roll off of my tongue:
"a gift he made not to be torn
the day it was that you were born
as god himself was looking down
and sight of you erased his frown"
Your description of this person is so intense and personal that I feel I know him or want to be him:
"that smile you wear with eyes so bright
like stars we've seen on a cloudless night
a welcome smile that says out loud
there is a friend amongst the crowd"

I was going to suggest you capitalize God and all pronouns referring to him, but I see you are keeping everything lowercase to emphasize your message.
