Indeed they do and it is so fun to watch them. I love the satori - it has just a hint of humor in it.

Great haiku Karyn:)

A very well-written haiku.an early morning gathering on.the lawn by the Robins leads to an excellent party chattering and tweeting the whole morning while preparing breakfast.

Thanks for the wonderful little poem and tribute. I think everyone likes Robins. What wild creature is more accessible to our eyes and ears, as close to us and everyone in the world, as this beautiful bird?

LOL! The picture in my mind as I read your words was of robins feasting like they were at a barbecue. Upon reading your author's notes, I was surprised at how closely mirrored our thoughts were. Thank you for sharing this well penned haiku.

Just wonderful, as usual. You write the absolute BEST haiku! Your last lines, satori, are always so clever! 'lawn party'...of course!! Blessings...

This is lovely. I always think of the birds when Spring arrives. I also love the image of the birds having a lawn party. You create a scene of nature that makes the reader feel good.

Very nice. Strong clear imagery in your first two lines. A great aha moment in your satori. A great observation in nature. I really like this one, my friend

Thank you, Douglas, for your encouraging response to my spring haiku. I'm pleased you mentioned the imagery and that you liked the satori. Robins are a sure sign of spring to me, and I get so excited when I spot the first one. Their song is so happy, and makes me happy to hear them. Thanks!

Karyn,

You should know that any poem that features robins is going to be a hit with me! *smile* But, for real, I can truly see this one - all those birdies gathered around some goodies in the yard! Yummy! Thanks!

Beautiful. A perfect haiku in my opinion. The only suggestion I have would be to swap out lawn for garden. I learned in my travels to Europe that the words are similar in meaning. For me garden has an elegance that lawn does not. Anyway, I wouldn't change a thing. Just a thought and nothing more as I am just waking up...

Thanks for your kind review and comments for my spring haiku, Donya. I appreciate your feedback. I used lawn instead of Garden because they are on the lawn. There's nothing in the garden right now except autumn leaves and dead flowers that will need cleaning soon. I think they like the grass with the morning dew because the worms seem to be closer to the surface. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Hi friend , it is great to observe the birds in the morning ,pecking at the nuts. Blackbirds sparrows, robins pigeons are all there partying. It is a great sight.
Well done.
