I showed your poem to my wife who has been smoking for 40 years. She said it was sweet. I ain't give up yet. I'm so glad to hear a good quitting story. This is very well written and good luck in the contest. I wish I had a six for you. Have a great day and God bless.

Yeah, well... you just try and tell that to someone who's been smokin' for over forty years and see what they'll tell ya'. Heck, I know a couple of old timers in some nursing homes where I volunteer who are force-fed oxygen each day, and they STILL smoke, if you can believe that.
Did you know that nicotine has been deemed by the scientific community to be more than three times more addictive than heroin? Now that's a hard habit to kick.

Very good poem about the quitting of smoking. I can relate very well with this because I smoked for seventeen years. It was the hardest habit to quit that I ever had, but it can be done if we don't let it conquer us.

This is a well written poem and is so true. I should let my daughter read this, she has been a smoker many years. This would make a great billboard to get people to quick. Great Advertising! Picture is picture perfect!
