This poem really speaks to me. The layout is presented well and the rhyming flows beautifuly. It is a very deep and meaningful poem and I can't see a way to fault it as I really enjoyed reading it.

Where does it say in the Bible what Jesus looked like? I only have the King James version. You have written a good account of the Crucifixion of Our Lord. We live because he died for us. Let us give thanks everyday. Bless you, K.

Mary Magdalene didn't recognise him at first, at the tomb, John 20:11-17 His disciples didn't and on the road to Emmaus, Luke 24:13-35, thanks gpfor the great review and comments, Kay, blessings, Roy.

They didn't recognise Him AFTER His death because He was in spiritual form (transitory state) and Thomas tried to touch him - Jesus told him "don't touch me, I have yet to ascend to My Father." XX K.

I think He said it to Mary actually, John 20:17, He invited Thomas to put his hand in His side John 20:27, He ascended after 40 days Acts 1:9. I've changed it, Kay, it was a preaching I heard, and thought it was in scripture, blessings, Roy.

This is a very nicely rhymed poem in tribute to the Savior's sacrifice. We will soon be in lent when our thoughts are drawn to this part of the Christian faith.

The focus of this poem what Jesus gave up for us. The storyline development He laid down his life for us alone. Carrying our sin and pain. His love for us compelled him so. His Father's creed guaranteed it. The rhythm carries us for word to word and gives it strength.
The line breaks give a natural pause.
Keep on writing.

Roy, so far today we've had 14inches of snow. Keep writing about our Lord. Walk in the shadow of God. *o* Rita

Wow 14 inches, when we where in NY in 2011, we had 16 inches, couldn't recognise cars, small mountains, don't have snow in Australia, in the mountains, yes, but not on plains. Thanks Rita for this most marvellous review, precious comments and stars, blessings, Roy.

What a fitting poem to appear at Candlemas! I hope you keep getting reviews all the way til Easter!

You might want to see if you can find another picture that doesn't cover up the agony in his face with a watermark.

Thanks for sharing!

Quite a pause you give us for we must think of how we also appear to God and the Heavenly Host. The lash of time is there as we age. For His forgiveness, I hope we all get back part of our youth.

This is a well-written poem and a wonderful tribute to our Lord and Saviour, Christ Jesus. Having a son of my own, I am ever amazed that our Heavenly Father would give such a gift to humanity.
