As always it is the responsibility of an individual writer to use courtesy and reply to all reviews received.
Human nature being as it is unfortunately means that not all will use manners and do so.
I agree that there needs to be courtesy, common-sense and co-operation between writer and reader for the common good of all on the site.
A valid point has been made with courtesy. Let's hope it is heard.

Thanks mate just moving some of this stuff around to the right area. Had a reviewer for mt "Book of Poultry" and she commented some of the poems did not belong. I told her I only had the one book then and now moving appropriate poems to one of the two books I now have. If you had not seen t I wrote this as a follow up to two other poems I wrote in the same vein First was "Pride in our Creation" encouraged by another FS friend who said he felt like lack of promotion or rewards for reviewers meant lack of pride in writing. Then another one I did was "I'm Free of Free" saying if folks dowanna offer encouragement to reviewers to just skip reading unless of course they are good friends and supporters of your own work or you get sucked in to a good story ha. Welcome Home. (to yours and ours [FS hehe]

Thanks mate was encouraged to write this by a new friend in here who liked the others you know pride in our Creation and I'm Free of Free etc. I thought of some more mainly to do with my FS and Face book friends to add to my Chapter on Friends in my book ha.

yeah sounds good. Have a feeling you missed out on a reward the thing just closed today I was informed. I wrote this as a follow up to my other poems "Pride in your Creation" and "I'm Free of Free" one of the writers said if there wasn't rewards especially if it was a large tome he skips em, unless it is someone who supports his work or he gets sucked in to a good story ha. Thanks need to get onto your stuff again been busy.

As I have said before, and before that, I don't even look at the "reward". The reward is in the reading. This is just a big game with no winners. Who cares? Sometimes I do not read long things, 'cause I am not in the mood. But if the title catches me, I read. I can not for the life of me understand the "kvetching". But than I don't watch sports either. Just ice skating.

Not into sport ourselves here. We wish they could move the soort to another channel ha. After all the sports is all about sponsors and getting people to see banners on the fields and buy the products ha! Sadly one of our young cricketers has just died from being struck by the cricket ball. Need to improve their safety helmets more looks like.

I just read that. Look what is happening to football players here. Glad my grandson is into Basket Ball.

AMEn Basketball a lot less threatening ha. What I can't understand is what happened to expertise in aiming the ball at the hoop and where did this jumping up and chucking the ball down through it come from...now expertise in that if tall enough ha.

Hi mate thanks for that. Can't believe how I am still getting some great reviews on this poem I wrote it on the suggestion of another new FS friend who liked my other poems along the same lines from different angles.

I think reviewing is a whole lot serious and time consuming. Some just can't express, some don't care to review, some are just plain here to enjoy reading. Give them their space. People are different. You can't cajole people into doing something they don't want to.

Hi new friend. Appreciate you coming by. I wrote this poem at the suggestion of a new FS friend who liked the pother poems I write in the same vein. More on the idea of rewards for reviews and the other one was about not reading if the reward was not there especially large tomes with no incentive. As I have said to others I still go ahead and read people's stuff as you have indicated even with no reward especially if the piece interests me or of course if the writer is a supporter of my own stuff. We all try and help each other in FS. I guess if people don't want to offer reviews then we have missed out on some help they may have been able to give or a spag even heaps of other reviewers have missed. Thanks for your review not sure we have met before.

indeed, you have a profound statement in your piece of poetic art! i like the double meaning of the last line. and reviewing is really sometimes a chore and sometimes a delightful experience when you come across a small gem in the big ass ocean of poems.

Thanks Rebekka not sure we have met before. Appreciate your fine review. I wrote this as a suggestion from another new FS friend wo liked my other ones along similar lines. From another angle. Hope I can get the time to have a look at your writing some time. CHeers.

Yep after awhile I quit reviewing those that I know never reply to my reviews. I also quit reviewing some who never ever review my work. That's the way it goes sometimes:)

Hi Teresa yeah one of my great FS friends gave me the idea if they don't offer a decent reward especially if it is a large tome then skip it- unless some how it grabs your interest as some of them have and you can't resist. I wrote this on the inspiration of a new FS friend who liked my other poems in this vein and suggested I write one on Responses or lack of. Check my profile if interested in "Im Free of Free" or the other one on Pride in our Creation regarding lack of rewards for reviews. Nice to meet although I have a feeling we have met before.
