A very well-written fun and humorous story about the days when daughters were protected by their parents against lovers who tempted their daughters to play in the hay for fun and giggles.

Nancy,
This is such a beautiful story in the Irish tradition.
I love the vernacular used,
and the ending is stellar.
Excellent work, Nancy.
Have a good weekend,
Cindy

So nothing happened but she got a husband out of it? I hope that Finn turned out to be a good husband and well trained to keep away from too much whisky and gin. Lol.

I loved this little tale. Your dialogue was perfect, made it a fun read. The poor guy being shamed for something she claims he didn't do. Your picture is cute, perfect for the poem.

This is a very nice poem-teaser. I cheer for the wise Rancher's Daughter. This poem is very different to what you usually write; congratulations for having that versatility. I wish you well in your writings.

Comment from Loren .
Ha,ha,ha! The lads put one over the whole town and even the handsome Whiskey Runner. Hmmm, makes me wonder why he didn't remember not touching those knickers, oh well, I wish them both the best and raise my glass of laugher to their health. Loren

This story poem, The Rancher's Daughter, tells a tale of a tryst and a dad with an aim for denying a boy named Finn a dalliance with his daughter.

This is expertly written and has a cute twist at the end. I salute your talent for the dialect. Your illustration pairs well. It is simply very well done.

I loved the blarney from half a dozen years ago. A most enjoyable tale of a seduction that never quite got off the ground. you can't trust those salesmen you know.

Wow! I absolutely loved the flow of this masterfully-crafted piece you have delivered, my friend. The first word "were" Is this a manner of speaking meant for time travel? Just curious.
Awesome share, thank you.
