I hate to see this end as I have really enjoyed it and can see how this could go on for awhile longer. I look forward to reading more of your work. Keep on writing.

Another great chapter. Can't keep giving out the sixes but I am tempted ok. I feel so close to young Rory maybe he's the son I never had or maybe he is me back then. Without the lovely hair of course. Yeah I just realised Rory cutting his hair was an event with his lovely long curls and all...

It's funny how when " awareness " hits in adolescence, or maybe earlier your parents don't look quite as large as they were, you realise they are flawed, but grandparents retain their " purity" I loved the final episode Gretchen, I'm glad I didn't have to be here when grandma Carolyn passed on. Good storytelling, I enjoyed what I read, looking forward to more! Well done, blessings, Roy.

I never actually said Grandma Carolyn died, so who knows, she may be alive and kicking and bossing the 'boys' around. LOL. Thank you for the insightful review and the kind comments. Gretchen

Right, you didn't! Roy.

Congratulations. From beginning to end, you held my very post-adolescent attention. More importantly, you wrote a really honest book for teenagers that didn't talk down to them, acknowledged their unique and separate humanity and made it interesting all the way through.
I hope you do something with this book. Even for me, an old broad like me, it was a great ride.

Well, considering an old broad like me wrote it, I take it as a high compliment indeed. Thanks for the good advice on chapter lengths and the helpful comments all the way through. I appreciate it immensely. Gretchen

This is the only chapter I have read but I will definitely be reading the ones before this. I was drawn straight into the story and was drawn into the sadness the plot was telling. Cancer is such a terribly thing but you get by that with the characters. Thought it was really good of Rory to cut his hair for his grandma. Such kindness shown. This was a brilliant read and I am so glad I read it. Genya
