This has a wonderful rhythm to it...I can see this vibrant scene in my mind and the tough tough grit it takes to be a bronco buster....a great poem...
Well done great imagery

I think you're on a roll with these horse ranching themes, Nancy. Your terminology seems so natural, one doesn't question that you know what you're talking about.
Great internal rhyme with: With nothing broke, the young cowpoke
Loved your rhythm and stride throughout. I'm guessing that to fork a horse means to sit astride it?
Rose.

Yes, Should I put that in the notes? These terms are natural to me so I guess I figure everyone knows what I mean. LOL Thanks Rose. Have a lovely day! Nancy

A well designed and composed poem that is a nice easy tale, about a day in the life of pony broker. This is such a fluid narrative, an articulate, expressive work that gives a great delight in reading it, the chosen rhyme scheme lends itself to an even meter! Blessings, Roy.

I think you've found another poetry niche.
I am a fan of all things western and this poem is no exception.
It Is very thoughtful and well planned and captures the mastery of the
Bronc buster as he "breaks " the bronc.
Well presented and a great picture.

I liked hearing the lingo, as I have no clue about bucking broncos and the like, most entertaining. Your rhymes worked well and it had a smooth flow. Super pic, too. Faye

Hi Faye. Thank you for the review. I am a big western fan. You don't know about breaking out horses to ride them? This is how they did it in the old west but I prefer to gentle them down before riding them. Have a good day. Nancy

I like this poem. Its rhyme and rhythm is great. The picture, as well of the cowpoke riding the bronco is great. As the cowpoke reached up the saddle horn, the bronco started to jump up and down and the cowpoke hit the ground in ten seconds.
Well described and well written. Congratulations. Dom

Just wonderful! That is one job I'd surely hate! Takes all kinds...I'm going horseback riding in a couple weeks with my son in NC...I told him to get me a horse that barely moves, ha ha. Blessings tonight!

Have fun. I love to ride but I am too old. Most horses are good.
I had one once that would just start bucking because she was barn sour but she never got rid of me. She just didn't try hard enough. haha. Have a great day Jo. Nancy

You too!

I don't want to ride...I have to ride, ha ha. I'd rather be on the beach daydreamin...but my son has a trail ride planned..."You'll love it mom", he said. He said that about the movie Blair Witch Project. He has a twisted sense of humor, ha ha!

That he does, Nancy...that he does.
For anyone who has ever had the pleasure of attending a live rodeo, they would certainly appreciate this all the more. Yet, even if one hasn't had the pleasure, and I'm happy to say that I have, it would certainly put them there through your carefully chosen rhymes, right in the action.
Wonderfully done, my talented friend. Yee-ha-w-w-w-w!

Yee-Hawwww is right. What fun at a rodeo huh? This is more about breaking horses on a ranch. You get one shot at it at a rodeo. Thanks for the review Dean. Have a good day! Nancy

You do the same, Nancy. You're very welcome.
