Lovely poem on the creative process. Ideas usuall come to us when our mind is relaxed and free of thought. Then we take those loose pearls and arrange them into beautiful strings, hoping others will like the creation we've made and enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it. I enjoyed this one. :)

Stillness sings an unsung tune;
one my heart already knew.
I become its composer,
beguiling, searching, yielding...
to the litany of lines
only a Power greater than I
can sing over me.
Yes reflective days are quite the thing Jewell. Some better than others and yet we must reflect on all of them. Litany of lines strikes a beautiful chord with me.

Nicely done.
You capture the feel of inspiration, percolation and composition extremely well.
Even when a piece comes out whole on the first go I usually wind up letting it just sit with me to see if it is what I was trying to say.

To Poetic Visionary,
Giving in retrospect the feelings, urges, and needs to compose all that your mind imputes into it and hopefully relish in it's outcome.
Good use of metaphors used:
appearing in my mind's eye
as unstrung pearls.
Stillness sings an unsung tune
