Jill, thank you so much. I have been married so long, it is not easy to imagine what it must feel like to be left by someone you deeply love, but I do think I can feel at least some of the pain this would cause. Thanks so much for your insightful comments.

yes Miss Merri - there is a bitter-sweet that comes eventually in divorce's aftermath - but plenty of bitter first, unfortunately ... you've captured that eventual realization perfectly though - well done! :) Sharyn

This is a very, very well written poem. It has wonderful flow and the rhyme is perfect, I really enjoyed the message you send to anyone who has been divorced.Divorce is so hard to understand. All my children were divorced and it made me wonder if I did something wrong or was it the times. I think mostly the times are to blame.Thank you for sharing your thoughts in this poem. Nancy

This poem is very moving. Suffering comes in the wake of a lost love, but the emotional power of a dream can bring salve to the wounds, and even trigger release. It's beautiful, and the versification is immaculate. This deserves a six!
