Hi there Treischel,
I enjoyed your philosophizing and well written poem with its clear depiction. So true and yet religion has also been destructive, being the root cause of many wars. On the other hand, it gives people stability. Peridot

Thank you Perodot for the nice review.

Excellent piece. I agree with you. Religion is a motivating force in society that can have almost unlimited power. Funny. They didn't look down at the Earth, they gazed and built their societies around the heavens.

Very perceptive review. Thank you I appreciate it very much.

This is very skillfully-written and thought-provoking. I agree with some of your points--primarily that religion-- religious demnominations, to be specific--is manmade. The Bible names no denominations, but does mention Christians.

Religion is the bases of civilization but it has also been a destructive force when manipulated by those in positions of power. Your piece is very well written and thought provoking.

Thank you. Definitely a double edged sword.

Hey friend, I have a confession and an apology to make - I meant to hit 6 to rate your incredibly beautiful nonet - and accidentally did a 5. Couldn't repair - these six stars are in lieu of ..... I hope you win that contest.
This one is great too. What a lofty, grand pen you wield!

Just remembered - it was the snowflake poem: unforgettable. I hope I don't sound sycophantic!

Religion has been the root of civilization since the beginning of time. It would be pointless to think it was any other way. I enjoyed your poem. Well done.

For me, religion has more to do about being a zealot than bringing forth a society. Religions can tare apart a society. Where as scientific research can structure one without instructional guise. I liked your poem, but I believe religion has more to do with unrest in this world than any other outside reason. Just check back in history and find the religious atrocities brought forth in the name of religion. This is a good piece of poetic art that I take issue with what it is saying... John

It is a double edge sword in so many ways, so I understand your point.
